Khan Academy is a great resource that helps students gain proficiency in a variety of topics. The website's curriculum, which is now Common Core compatible, was created by Sal Khan, who earned an MIT triple-major in mathematics, electrical engineering and computer science and an MBA from Harvard. While working as a head fund manager, he created some math videos for his cousins. The videos ended up getting over half a million views, so he decided to switch career paths and team up with Stanford, Microsoft, and Google to create Khan Academy, a website with the ultimate goal of providing free resources for students to learn anything.
